So, I did not post last week : ( I have been sooo busy trying to study for this test! I take it tomorrow at 3pm!!! I will post once more this weekend to make up for last week...sorry ladies!
I have just been following my same routine, but I feel I need to refocus especially with my eating. I need to get really dedicated to not snacking and sticking to my meals and snacks. Valentine's weekend did not help. Although we did not eat a big elaborate dinner, pizza was involved. I am not going to be too hard on myself and just regroup and refocus. I am going to be more diligent about logging my food intake and really watching my calories. I am also going to really try to get an extra day or two of cardio in now that this test will be over and as I start studying for the next one! I have also thought about getting a bodybug and trying that out.
Goals:
Less snacking
More cardio
Using a bodybug
Hope you gals have been having great success and a fabulous week!!! One Life!

Slow but Steady
So, I am down 2lbs total this month. Not a big surprise to me because I have not been focusing my attention on my weight loss but mostly on studying for my CPA exams. I am OK with 2lbs. At least it is something and I haven't gained. I will just keep it slow and steady.
I have signed up for Weight Watchers again and am doing that. I am trying to be very conscious of my eating seeing as my working out is only 3 times a week. This next week I am going to continue to focus on my nutrition and eat as clean and healthy as possible. I also would like to try to get some more sleep each night.
Gotta run...off to The Factory and then home to study!! Have a great weekend ladies! Love and hugs!!

Persevere!
Hello ladies of health! So...success this week!! I have dropped 2lbs!!! I feel great, I am toning up rather quickly and it is all thanks to protein and being super conscious about what I am putting in my body. I have been really good about getting my protein as well as watching the snack intake here at the office. So easy to grab a handful of nuts as you walk by or a mini Milky Way after lunch...but I am using good ole' will power to steer clear of these things.
My goals for this next month are to:
1. Keep up the studying to at least 3 hours a day!! I take one of my CPA exams on February 19th...
2. Keep getting that protein in and steering clear of sugar and bread carbs.
3. Commit to at least 4 days of exercise whether it means two mornings a week I have to get up at 4:30am or not!! Just do it!
I hope you all had a great week and look forward to weigh in on Tuesday! Persevere!!

Setting Yourself up to Succeed
So, this week I have made the command decision to set myself up to succeed on this weight loss journey!! My schedule with work and studying for the CPA exam is not leaving me much room for gym time during the week other than my Tuesday/Thursday Hybrid class at Alpha Co and the weekends. So, my nutrition is going to be key. I have decided to do Weight Watchers online again. It worked so well for me last time and it really helps me keep track of my nutrition and what I am eating each day.
I got my Tuesday Hybrid training class in and it was amazing! I requested an "Everyone Gets Ass at Alpha Co" workout!! Micah is so great with taking request...he is like a DJ of fitness awesomeness and he played my tune the other night for sure! This is what we like to call the rear and legs workouts we do that are full of weighted front squats with kettle bells, lunges with carrying a kettle bell overhead, jumping squats, etc...It is all about the DERRIERE! It was a great workout and I can't wait for this evenings workout to get me jump started for my long weekend ahead of review class and studying. I am going to try to get myself to the gym tomorrow morning before work and then go for a run on Sunday morning. I have class all day on Saturday but if I have the energy to hit the gym after you better believe I will be there!
Let's all set ourselves up to succeed every day!!! Take the steps and put in place a plan that will help you reach your goals. Have a great weekend my friends :)

Goals and Roadblocks
First and foremost, I have to apologize to my fellow bloggers for falling by the wayside in only week 2!! That was horrible and I will be posting twice this week to redeem myself!
Let's talk about goals...I did not post many goals on my last blog and I wanted to update that. My weight/fitness/strength goals as well as other personal goals:
1. To lose 25lbs and get stronger
2. To run my second half marathon on March 5, 2011
3. To take all four parts of the CPA exam and pass all four and have my CPA license by July 31, 2011
4. To hold myself in higher esteem and value myself more
5. To cut-off the social stigmas of being a single woman in your 30's and learn to love it and embrace it
6. To advance my career
7. To be more comfortable in my own skin, love myself just the way I am, and be ok with my life just as it is right at this very moment
8. To quit waiting for my life to begin and live it...because it already has begun!!
There are many roadblocks that can come up in the process of reaching these goals...BUT...my focus is to stay motivated and positive!! I am not going to let anything or anyone detour me from what I want for my life!
This past week was a little slower on the workout front. I only got three days in at The Awesome Factory in between trying to study for the CPA exam and work, but they were an AWESOME three days. Lots of weighted vest wearing exercises and martial arts. I can already tell my body has slimmed done in the past two weeks and it encourages me to do more. I am eating a lot of lean protein and staying to my no bread carbs after breakfast. Things are looking good!! Roadblocks averted and goals are on target.
I will post again on Wednesday! I look forward to cheering you all on as well! Hoorah!

The Road to Awesome
"One Life! What are you going to do with it?" This is my trainer Micah's theme and it is really a great question and way to inspire people. What do I want to do with my One Life? Well, there are so many things but in relation to us as healthy women...I want to start my journey on the road to AWESOME!!! I want to get stronger and healthier. I would like to lose about 25 pounds...my starting weight this week was 175lbs and I would like to get down to 150. I am going to run another half marathon on March 5th and I want to get my body ready for that.
I am going to focus on eating very lean. Alot of protein and veggies. I have limited myself to bread cards only in the morning at breakfast and then only fruit and veggie carbs for the rest of the day. My main focus is making sure I keep my intake of protein up...that is the most important to get lean and build muscle. I will be trying to abstain from alcohol as much as possible for the next few months to help reach my weight loss goal. I will continue to work out at Alpha Company Fitness with my Hybrid class on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings and then run 3 other days.
I am looking forward to sharing this journey and supporting each other in reaching our goals and living our "One Life" to the fullest! Cheers Health Women!

Guns Guns and Guns
So...I am embarrassed because I am so late with last weeks blog:( So I will just do two this week!
Last week was great! Good progress with writing down what I was eating and making better choices. I always like when Audit Season comes because I am out of the office and forced to pack a lunch. I also am not able to snack on all the goodies we have the "snack cupboard" at the office as well.
We did the Green Mile again on Tuesday as well as a lot of new and more complicated Kettle Bell exercises. Thursday Micah was out so we had one of the other trainers teaching our class and she kicked our arms butts! LOL...I called it Guns Guns and Guns! It was a great class and went by really fast and my arms were toast the next evening.
This week I am focusing on the following:
Logging food intake
Running farther and increasing my cardio nights by 15 minute intervals (ie: from 1 hour up to 1 hour and 15 mins, etc)
Decrease the carb consumption
Get strict again with myself! My 30th is in a month and I want to lose at least 10lbs before then!
Hope you gals had a great weekend and have a fabulous week! Keep going strong:)
